TREASURER

The Town of Westport seeks a qualified applicant for a Full-Time Treasurer.  Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field and five to ten years of responsible experience in business or financial management; experience in municipal cash management desirable; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Ability to become bonded required; certification by Mass Collector & Treasurers preferred but required within 3-4 years.  Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of financial management and specific knowledge of the legal controls, methods and procedures of municipal finance.  Familiarity with investment vehicles, banking products and operations.  Working knowledge of computer applications for financial management.  Professional administrative and supervisory work involving the receipt, expenditure and custody of municipal funds, the borrowing of money, and in the custody of tax title properties; all other related work, as required.  Salary range: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 depending on qualifications.  Application and job description are available: Selectmen’s Office, 816 Main Road or downloaded from: www.westport-ma.com and resumes and applications must be submitted to the Secretary to the Board of Selectmen or emailed to: employment@westport-ma.gov.  The deadline is December 2, 2019 at 3:30 p.m.  AA/EEO
