Payroll Administrator- Treasurer’s Department
Salary Range: $43,016.16 - $57,810.12
The City of Attleboro Treasurer’s Department seeks a payroll administrator who, under the direction of the City Treasurer, performs complex and responsible payroll and bookkeeping duties in accordance with established principles and department policies.
Duties include payroll preparation and record keeping, tax reporting including W-2, 941 and 1099 preparation. Prepares quarterly and annual federal and state payroll reports. Responsible for preparation and distribution of weekly vendor payments, transmitting of weekly direct deposits and weekly tax payment information in a timely manner. Performs computer data entry work and interfaces with MIS and MUNIS on payroll issues. Assists department heads and employees on various payroll related issues.
Requires high school graduation with clerical and bookkeeping courses and five years experience in office setting performing clerical, payroll and bookkeeping responsibilities or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge the principles of state and federal payroll reporting required and basic accounting skills. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. Ability to use a computer and strong math skills required.
