The Annual Holiday Meeting of this Association will be held on Wednesday, December 10th at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. The full meeting fee includes a continental breakfast during registration and a luncheon buffet. Directions to the Hogan Center are printed on the reservation form.
Our agenda highlights several aspects of the issues concerning public retirement and offers a number of guidelines to you and your municipal employees. Kevin Blanchette, the CEO of the Worcester Regional Retirement System, will share his expertise on how public retirement systems work for you and your municipality. Kurt Czarnowski, Regional Director of Communication for the Social Security Administration, will provide information and guidance on benefits and offsets to public employees. Karl Kroner and Rob Young of Great West will focus on the state’s 457 - Deferred Compensation Plan, and Harry Chadwick, Chief Auditor of the Public Employees Retirement Administration (PERAC), will provide insight to the financial and investment practices of local retirement systems.
We will also present certificates to our most recently Certified and Re-Certified Collectors and Treasurers as well as a certificates to our Assistant Collectors and Treasurers. Please join us on December 10th for a meaningful program that will offer stimulating dialogue, a fine meal, great friendship and holiday cheer.
The Luncheon Buffet will start with a house garden salad and soup. Your entrée choices will be: Grilled Chicken with Wild Mushroom Marsala and/or Filet of Sole Florentine with a Lemon Leek Sauce, all accompanied by the chef's choice of vegetable and potato. The luncheon will be topped off with your choice of coffee or tea and the chef's choice of dessert.
Following lunch and during dessert, we will have the awarding of donated Door Prizes. We look forward to seeing you at an enjoyable and educational Annual Holiday Meeting.
